RD-GLM17 is equipped with a 4-stroke, single-cylinder OHV engine with a displacement of 224 cm³, delivering an impressive power output of 5.0 kW (6.8 HP) at 3000 rpm. The engine operates at a speed of 2900 rpm and features a forced lubrication system, ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free performance. For optimal efficiency, it is recommended to use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 85, while the 1.4-liter fuel tank provides economical operation with a consumption of up to 0.9 liters per hour.

The ignition system is a transistorized magneto, ensuring reliable startup, while the electrical system operates at 12V. The spark plug gap is set between 0.7 - 0.8 mm, contributing to efficient fuel combustion. The oil reservoir has a capacity of 0.5 liters, and for optimal engine performance, SAE 10W-30 lubricating oil is recommended.

The machine’s cutting system is designed for high performance, offering a cutting width of 690 mm (27”), allowing for fast and efficient coverage of large areas. The blades of the same length ensure precise and even cutting, while the cutting height can be adjusted in five different levels, ranging from 35 to 75 mm. The large 220-liter grass collection bag reduces the need for frequent emptying, thereby increasing work efficiency, reaching up to 2600 m²/h.

The robust construction of the machine is complemented by 15-inch rear wheels, providing stability and easy maneuverability even on uneven terrain. With a weight of 140 kg, it is durable and reliable, while its ability to operate within a temperature range of -15°C to +50°C makes it suitable for various climatic conditions.
